Curtis J. Hogan, age 89, of Denver, CO passed away March 11, 2016 in Denver. He was born on July 25, 1926 in Greeley, KS to Charles Leo & Anna Malene (Roussello) Hogan. Curtis served as the General Secretary of the International Federation of Petroleum and Chemical Workers, which allowed him to travel extensively throughout the world. His travels provided him with an intricate knowledge of geopolitical affairs, allowing him to organize and serve the oil, chemical, and atomic workers of the world, as well as his country. However, Curtis' overwhelming love and dedication always remained with his family and home in Denver, CO. Curtis was a man of faith, with a quick wit, and an easy sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Jean Hogan; daughter, Kathleen Hogan; sons, Christopher, Michael, Patrick and Kerry Hogan; 2 granddaughters, Emily and Erin; brother, Eugene Hogan; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bernard Hogan; and sister, Lucille Mock. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO with visitation one hour prior. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the St. James Catholic Church, 1311 Oneida St., Denver. Interment will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Humboldt, KS at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please share your condolences with the family below.
