Cynthia Hayden Holmquist

Cynthia Hayden Holmquist, 74, born on January 30, 1934, and a fourth generation Denver native, died peacefully on December 30, 2008 from a sudden onset of cancer. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparent, Henry Buchtel, former Governor of Colorado and Chancellor of Denver University (Buchtel Boulevard); grandparents, Margaret and Frost Buchtel; parents, George Hayden and Barbara Buchtel Hayden; sister, Patricia Hayden Gregory; son, Michael Mulvihill; and her loving husband of 20 years, James Lawrence Holmquist. Devoted and loving parent to Henry Norbert Mulvihill, Jr. (Patricia), Barbara Mulvihill Haines (Richard), Kathleen Mulvihill Banks, Patrick Mulvihill (Kathy), and Michael Mulvihill (deceased). Survived by brother, Thomas Scott Hayden, IV, and many other relatives, including stepchildren, Katherine Holmquist, Linda Holmquist, Jeff Holmquist, and Joanie Holmquist. Grandmother (Granny) of 11 grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild. Memorial Service 10:00 AM Saturday, with a reception following, both at Horan & Mc Conaty, 1091 S.
