Cynthia Louise Maddox (68) of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2023. Cynthia was raised in Decatur, Michigan and moved to Colorado in 1979 at the age of 26 where she met her husband Daniel F. Maddox Jr. They held hands in marriage in 1981. She helped lovingly raise Daniel’s two children Chris and Laurie as her own. Son, Joseph Maddox was proudly born in 1984. She also adored her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cindy was born in Watervliet, Michigan on June 9th, 1955. She had six brothers and was the only girl growing up on the Cerven Farm. Cindy dearly loved spending time with her family and friends, especially visiting her family in her home town in Michigan. She enjoyed camping many weekends during the summer in Colorado. Cindy was also biggest fan and supporter at her childrens and grandchildrens sporting events, competitions, graduations, and any other special events. She also loved her animals, walking and spending as much of her free time outside as possible.
Cindy was an avid tennis player for over 35 years. She had a love and competitiveness for the game. She captained and organized many of her teams. She has met many of her dear friends through sports over the years. She was also a talented artist, she spent many years making homemade painted wood crafts. She sold these pieces at local craft fairs. She had quite a following of clientele. Her artistic talents, bookkeeping skills and competitive athleticism was astounding.
