Cindy passed away Nov.22, 2005 in Denver, Colorado. She died of cancer at the age of 44. She was born in Brownsville, Texas, May 16, 1961 to Anita Alvarez Canant and Willie F. Canant, Sr. She attended Brownsville schools and was a Porter High School graduate. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Willie F. Canant, Sr. and her brother Thomas Lynn Canant. Cindy is survived by her husband William C. Ray, stepson Brian Ray (Gwen) and grandson Jayden. She is also survived by her mother Anita Canant Eichman, brother Willie F. Canant, Jr.(Raquel) of Brownsville, sisters Linda Evangelista of Harlingen, Delia (Ron) Taylor of San Antonio, and Julia (Duane) Harrison of Watsonville, California, and aunts, nieces and nephews. She was an avid motorcyclist, a Harley girl all the way. Other interests included camping, gambling in Vegas, spending time with grandson Jayden. She will be greatly missed, remembered for her smile and powerful personality. Ride free. Visitation, Friday, 12-3 PM, Celebration of Life, Saturday, 10:00 AM, Horan & McConaty, 3201 S. Parker Rd. Please honor Cindy's request, please wear white, dress casual or your Harley gear.
