Cynthia Jetton Stone, born on July 14, 1941, in Murray, Kentucky to Sue Boyd Miller and Buel Harbard Jetton, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado, at the age of 83. With a life marked by devotion to family, education, and music, Cynthia leaves behind a legacy of love and service.

Cynthia attended high school in Murray, Kentucky, and continued her education at the University of Kentucky, where she met her beloved husband of 60 years, Philip Thomas Stone. She graduated from Murray State University, embarking on a journey of lifelong learning and teaching.

Cynthia was a devoted wife and mother. Her commitment to education was evident in her diverse roles over the years: a high school and kindergarten teacher, as well as a highly sought-after substitute teacher in elementary schools for many years. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was evident throughout her life, both professionally and personally.

A woman of deep faith, Cynthia found solace and joy in her church community. Her love for music was a constant presence in her life. Cynthia shared this passion with others by volunteering in the children's music ministry at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia, where she sang in the church choir for over 30 years. She combined her love of children and music by assisting with weekly choir rehearsals and summer music camps. Her dedication to her faith and community was inspiring to all who knew her.

As a dedicated Air Force wife, Cynthia embraced the challenges and joys of military life, living in Missouri, Kentucky, Colorado, Alaska, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia. After enjoying a long life in Virginia for over three decades, she and Phil briefly relocated to Kentucky before ultimately settling in Colorado 13 years ago to be near their beloved grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Thomas Stone, and her brother, Robert Larry Jetton. Cynthia is survived by her two sisters, Janet Gerrain and Nancy Sutton of Coxsackie, New York. She also leaves behind her son, Steven (Tina) of Clovis, New Mexico, and daughter, Andrea Hitchcock (John) of Lakewood, Colorado. Her grandchildren, Adele, Thomas, Karissa, Justin, Eli, and Alana, were the light of her life, and her love for them was boundless.

Cynthia's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to family, faith, and education. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her, and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
