DaMarous (Dee) Ainslee Faris passed away quietly in her home April 27, 2014. Dee began her life in rural Missouri in 1940. She had the strength and drive to leave against her parents wishes and attend nursing school in St. Louis. Dee graduated from Missouri Baptist Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1961. She worked in nursing for forty one years, she took great pride in her profession and patients care. Dee often received letters of thanks from her patients and their families for her kindness and care. After retiring in 2002 Dee spent her time working on arts, crafts (there wasn't a craft she couldn't do) and writing books. She was a very gifted and talented artist. She published three children's stories and two novels. Her novel L.A. Artemus under the pen name Dane Adler Mission can be found at Amazon. It was a great accomplishment and one we are all proud of her for! Dee was proceeded in death by her daughter Anne Elizabeth Faris, sister Launia DeWett and brother Frankie DeWett. Dee is survived by her three children Mary Faris Andrade, Ruth Grindeland and Jane Faris. We are thankful for the time we were able to spend with our mom, although it was not nearly enough. The family will be holding a private service to remember and celebrate Dee's life. But for now we are comforted with the belief that she is laughing, drinking Pepsi and doing arts surrounded by her loved ones who proceeded her. We love you momma, rest in peace!
