Dania Lu Muir

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Dania Lu Muir, 82. She passed away peacefully at her home in Castle Pines, Colorado on August 25, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Dania was born on October 1, 1940, in Logan, Utah to Orland and Mae Fackrell. She grew up in a loving, close-knit LDS family in Clearfield, Utah.

After marrying her soulmate, Alan Muir, Dania dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Dania and Alan were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their marriage was sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple for time and all eternity. They served a Church Mission as a Senior Couple in Bermuda and New York City from 1998-1999.

Dania's devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she embraced her role as a wife and mother with immeasurable love and grace. She is survived by her loving husband, Alan; by their children, Mike (Jacqui), Kathy Wessler (Pete), Lisa Rustad (Mike), and Kristi Baylis (Dan); nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Each one of them held a special place in Dania's heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
