Daniel Robert Albin

Daniel Robert Albin passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Daniel was born January 27, 1939 in Fort Collins, Colorado. His parents were CW and Beulah Albin. Daniel was a Boy Scout and received the Eagle Scout Award. He graduated from the University of Denver where he was an avid swimmer and swam on the swimming team. He was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He began work on his Master's Degree at the Colorado School of Mines. He completed his Master's through the National Science Foundation at Franklin and Marshall in Lancaster, Pa. For 15 years, he managed the Carl G. Morse Park Swimming Pool where he also coached the swimming team and taught private lessons. He also coached his son's soccer team and his team won a state championship. Daniel taught science in the Denver Public Schools for 34 years and then substituted in the Adams Twelve Five Star Schools. He was a member of the Seventh Avenue Congregational Church for 32 years. He loved dancing, fishing, rock hunting, boating, camping, making beautiful jewelry and more recently beading. Daniel is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlene, daughter, Lori (Tim), mother, Beulah Albin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert and Richard and his father, CW Albin. Daniel was wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
