Daniel R. Cristofano

Daniel Richard Cristofano was born August 23rd 1930 in Denver Colorado, the son of Marco and Maria Cristofano. He passed away March 4, 2020.

He married Mary Ann Belmonte in 1959. They had three children Daniel D. Cristofano (m. Diane), (Fort Worth, Texas) John M. Cristofano, (Southeast Asia), and Debbie A. Cristofano (Denver, Colorado). Mary Ann passed away in 1980.

Daniel married Nina I. Thorn on October 1st, 2005 in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by two step-daughters, Christine (m. Tim) Pope of Underwood, Iowa; and Patricia (m. Ken) Kult of Omaha, Nebraska.

He has four grandchildren: Daniel P. Cristofano, Sarah Stippel (m.Jake), Amy Cristofano (m.Jeremy), and Julia Hadley; ten step-grandchildren: Steve, Nick, Bryan, Justin, Amy, Natalie, Ben, Jon, Megan, Tyler and Joe and 14 great grand children.

Daniel Cristofano graduated from North High School in Denver and attended Coyne Electrical college in Chicago. He worked for the Burlington Northern and Burlington North Santa Fe Railroads, the largest freight carrier in North America. After 42 years of service, he retired from the BNSF in 1992. He served on the board of directors for the BNSF Railroad Credit Union as well as the Golden Spike, a retirement organization for railroad employees.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 10th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 7577 W. 80th Ave., Arvada, CO 80003.

A Funeral Service honoring Dan will be on Wednesday, March 11th at 10:30am also at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Arvada, CO. Please join the family for a reception immediately following the service.

Dan will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO.
