Daniel Link of Arvada beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully while vacationing in Glenwood Springs, Colorado surrounded by his loved ones on August 1st. He was 92. Daniel was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, married Catherine Corrigan during World War II and began building a family that now spans four generations. Daniel was a dedicated husband and father whose primary ambition was to provide for the care and well being of his family. He began work as a sailor in the Merchant Marine at age 16 and later became a welder in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and served aboard the USS Ajax in the South Pacific. Upon return from the war he began work with the New York City Transit Authority from where he retired and moved to Colorado in 1977. He was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of Shrine of St. Anne's Catholic Church for 35 years. Preceded in death by his wife Catherine. Father of Daniel (Debby), Donald (Sarah), Donna Farrell (Patrick), Diane, Debbie Gunst (Donny), David, Dean (Karen). Father-in-spirit to Mary Sabo (Lester), Joan Zema, Bob Farrell (Linda), Joann McCabe. Grandfather of Matthew (deceased), Daniel (Monica), Erin, Denise Wells (Dave), Leah Robards (Bret), Adam Farrell, Andrew Farrell (Katie Dillon), Amanda Walsh (Jeremy), Lauren Farrell, Sara Stephenson, Patrick Sabo (Shelly), Gina Welihand (Tim), Colleen Gunst, Renee Gunst, Great grandfather of Ethan Farrell, Josephine Robards, Bella Walsh, Kyla Walsh. Godfather to Anne Marie Molloy, Lauren Farrell. A Public Visitation will be held in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, on Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Shrine at St. Anne, 7555 Grant Place, Arvada, on Wednesday August 8, 2011, 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver. A Reception will be held following the Burial back at Shrine of St. Anne.
