Daniel Kay McFarland

May 15, 1959 — December 15, 2008

Dan was born on May 15, 1959 in Fort Collins, Colorado. He passed away on December 15, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. As Dan was a Colorado Native, his love of our State ran deep. The Snowmass area, in particular, brought him great happiness. Dan was employed as Snowmass Village's Chief Engineer of Employee Housing. Dan could tackle any job in that capacity and do it well. Dan is survived by so many loved ones including his beloved and devoted wife, Jeri McFarland; his son Daniel Kay McFarland Jr.; his dad Kay McFarland; mom Pat McFarland; brother and best friend, Randy McFarland, Maria Dominguez and his daughters Madison and Sophia; his sister Shawna McFarland-Tickle, her husband Mike Tickle and son Jack. Dan is also survived by his adored step children, Joe, Justin and Jackie; as well as his sweet grandchildren, Ariana, Mateyo, Emma, Danica, and Isabel; much-loved aunties Marion Crowley and Susan Cargile; uncles Bob McFarland and Berry S. Thompson III; numerous cousins; and enormously devoted and caring friends. Dan will be deeply missed and we will cherish his memory forever. Dan's memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado.
