Daniel Paul Newman

Daniel Paul ""Dan"" Newman of Thornton, Colorado passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020 at North Suburban Hospital in Thornton, Colorado. Dan was born on June 15, 1949 to Daniel Thomas Newman and Mary Rose (Ricker) in Escanaba, Michigan. He graduated from Escanaba High School. Dan served in the U.S. ARMY overseas in the Philippines as an Army Medic. Dan work in the oil fields of Gillette, Wyoming and met his wife of 38 years Karin (Lumpkin) who was visiting the area. Dan and Karin married on June 13, 1982 in Denver. Karin loved his gentle quiet ways and his ability to make her laugh. His family enjoyed his sense of humor, guidance, willingness to help and good judgment.

Dan graduated from Trinity Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma a devout Christian. Dan enjoyed his church and loved working to provide quality music by running the sound system for the musicians and vocalist. He had worked at Costco in various positions for 21+ years. His favorite hobby was watching baseball games and collecting sports cards. Dan was a good and trusted friend who will be missed by all.

Dan is survived by his Wife Karin Newman of Thornton, CO.
Brother Joseph Newman and Wife Lynn of Denver, CO; Niece Bobbi Heitschmidt & husband Keven of Vancouver, WA; Great Nephew Dante and Great Niece Clarie Heitschmidt.
Niece Buffi Elliott & husband Sean of Greeley, CO; Great Nieces: Mandi Welch & husband C.J. in Northglenn, CO and Maggi Bratton & husband Chris of Greeley, CO.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
