Daniel Thomas O'Malley

A beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 1st at his home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He is remembered for his unwavering commitment to his work, his never-ending kindness, and his willingness to support those around him. 

Dan was a true handyman at heart, capable of fixing almost anything and always finding a way to make things work. Among his colleagues, he was famously known as the go-to person for repairs—if someone couldn’t figure out how to fix something, they turned to Dan. At home, he was constantly tinkering and readily available to help his daughters with any car or house troubles they faced.

He had an undeniable passion for the outdoors, finding happiness in activities like camping, fishing, or simply enjoying time outside with family and friends.

More than anything, he treasured his family and the moments they shared together. Known affectionately as Uncle Dan, he was a beloved figure—always ready with a kind smile, an infectious laugh, and a heart full of support. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his daughters Megan O’Malley (Brian Smith) and Makenzie Yacovetta (Jake Yacovetta) as well as his siblings: Pat, Jim, Randy, Bill, and Maureen. He also leaves behind numerous remarkable cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Pat O'Malley, his brother Mike, sister-in-law Sharon, brother-in-law Bill, and his aunt Mary-Jo.

A public visitation is scheduled for March 8th, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Horan & McConaty, located at 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, generosity, and kind-heartedness will live on in all who knew him.
