Daniel Keith Romero

Daniel Keith Romero, 47, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. He was born on March 13, 1967 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dan graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1985. He attended Colorado State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992 and his Masters in Accounting in 1994. He married Jenni Foland on November 27, 1997 and together they have two children, Cameron (14) and Sydney (9). Dan worked as a financial controller, beginning his professional career at American United Mortgage. He also worked for New Century Energies, John Laing Homes, and Lennar in his career, before his final stop at Brookfield Residential Properties Inc., where he was the Vice President of Residential Development. While working for Brookfield, Dan and his family spent 18 months in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, working a professional job exchange. In the last year Dan founded his own business, DKR Financial Services. Dan's hobbies included playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by Jenni and their two children; his father Juan Romero; mother Carol Gedo; brothers Kevin Romero (Leianne) and Paul Romero; sister Tana Romero-Ridley and several nieces and nephews.
