Daniel Trujillo

Daniel Trujillo passed away on May 10, 2014, at his home, following a courageous battle with colon cancer. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by family and friends. A service to celebrate Dan's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in the Rocky Mountain Memorial Park Garden Chapel located at 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. Dan was born on April 9, 1955 to Rose Marie Cordova in Raton, New Mexico. He graduated from Golden High School, where he was involved in many activities. Dan's career history included many years with Phillips Petroleum, Yipes, One Source Marketing and most recently at Kuni Honda on Arapahoe. Dan was an avid Rockies baseball fan and will be remembered for his love of tennis, golf, automobiles and architecture as well. Those left to cherish Dan's memory include Becky Lape, significant other; Steve Trujillo, son; Tom Trujillo, son; Melissa Trujillo-Cowan, daughter, and Danny Cowan, son-in-law, of Oklahoma City. Dan's grandchildren, Ty Cowan and Kinley Cowan, were his pride and joy. Dan is also survived by Jim Trujillo, brother; Roberta Forkenbrock, sister; and Robert Trujillo, father. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie Trujillo. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund.
