Daphne Helena Gacek

After a lengthy illness, Daphne passed away on March 27, at the age of 80. Daphne was born in Cambuslang, Scotland, emigrated to Winnipeg, Canada, and then to Littleton, Colorado. She was an active member of St. Thomas More, and was for a time, a member of the Pastoral Council, and was a recipient of the Pastors award from Father Michael Walsh. She carried a zeal for life right to her final days. She will be loved and missed by Ted, her loving husband of 44 years; sons Andrew (Sharon) and Michael (Cassandra); granddaughters Courtney, Jocelyn and Sarah; and three sisters, Valerie, Beryl and Andrea. Rosary will be said Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 7 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11 AM, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Building Fund, South Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado 80112.
