Darian Lee Garcia

Darian Lee Garcia, 29, of Lone Tree, Colorado passed away on July 18, 2019.

Darian was born on May 9, 1990 in Denver, Colorado to Gabriel Garcia and Rita Stephens. Darian grew up in Colorado and graduated from Northglenn High School in 2008. Darian spent a year in Hawaii attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 2010 and served four years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. After his enlistment he returned home to Colorado. He loved living in Colorado near his family and being able to enjoy the Rocky Mountains.

Darian loved spending time with his family. He was a calm and soft spoken individual, he never raised his voice even in anger. Darian loved his dog penny. He loved to play Pokémon and he loved Harry Potter. He loved playing frisbee golf with his dad on the weekends. He could beat anyone at chess, he was so smart. His favorite team was the Broncos but he loved all kinds of sports. He was athletic and learned to ski in less than a day. Darian was funny, compassionate and kind. He had a good heart. He cared about people. Darian tried his hardest everyday, fighting a long and hard battle with depression. Darian was an amazing individual who was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.

He is proceeded in death by grandmother Beatrice Murphy and grandmother Eileen Miller.

Darian is survived by his father Gabriel Garcia and stepmother Charlene Garcia; his mother, Rita Stephens and stepfather Rick Stephens; his sisters, Simonne Bloor and brother-in-law Cory Bloor, Eileen DiFranco and brother-in-law Danny DiFranco, as well many more family members and close friends.

A Memorial Service honoring Darian's life will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado, 80227.

A Committal Service will immediately follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Colorado.

Reception will follow at 2:00 PM at the Northgate Event Center & Taproom at 3880 South Lowell Boulevard Denver, Colorado 80236.
