Darlene E. Haines

Darlene E. Haines, 93, of Denver passed into eternal life on September 16, 2015. Born on July 3, 1922 in Le Mars, IA. Darlene grew up in Iowa and moved to Houston, TX shortly after marrying Lewis J. Haines in 1952. The couple moved to Tulsa, OK and lived there, with Darlene active in her community for about 30 years. Once their granddaughters were born, she and Lew moved to Denver to be part of their lives. Darlene truly enjoyed homemaking and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Haines and sister Marcella Moore. Survived by daughter Melissa Russ, granddaughters Jennifer and Christine Russ, and sister Wilma Parker. Darlene enjoyed her last five years of life at Clermont Park Assisted Living in Denver, where she made many friends. Funeral Service Saturday, September. 19, 2015, 11 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113.
