Dave ""Butch"" Boyd

Dave ""Butch"" Boyd, 61, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2014. Beloved husband of Dee for 36 years; loving father of Christopher Boyd and Jessica Sharman and her husband Adam; proud grandfather of Jackson David Sharman; and son-in-law of Shirley Kline. Dave is also survived by his brother Ronnie and sister Daveta, of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Oliver, and brother Dennis Boyd. Dave began his career in Iowa as a meat cutter, continuing that role when he moved to Colorado. He most recently served as a union business representative for UFCW Local 7 (United Food Commercial Workers). Being a husband, father and ""Pop"" to Jackson were his greatest treasures. Whether he was on his Harley, boat or Jet Ski, Dave loved the outdoors. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 24, 2 PM with a Memorial Service to celebrate Dave's life beginning at 3 PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A reception will follow the service with food and drinks at Noonan's Event Center at Heather Ridge Golf Course, 13521 E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora 80014.
