David Charles Abrahamson

David Charles Abrahamson, age 67, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, due to complications from surgery. 

David was born on January 14, 1957, the son of Richard and Phyllis Abrahamson. He grew up on a farm in rural Boxholm, Iowa, and graduated from Grand Community High School in 1975, and attended Buena Vista University and Iowa State University. On June 14, 1980, he married Ginette Majors, and they celebrated 43 years together. 

David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Denver Broncos, and Denver Nuggets.  He loved to watch his daughter, Tara, in her skating competitions, and then when he had grandsons, he enjoyed watching them participate in sports and supporting them in their activities.  David enjoyed golfing and traveling with his wife.  They loved going every year to the beaches of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico where he would lay on the beach and work on his tan!

Survivors include his wife, Ginette; his daughter, Tara (Justin Trujillo) of Arvada, Colorado; two grandchildren: Lucas Trujillo; Austin Trujillo.  David is also survived by his siblings: Laura Bair; Karen (Jeff) Jutting; Rich Abrahamson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
