David Wayne Allen

David Wayne Allen, loving husband and devoted father and son passed away in Parker, CO on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the age of 51. David is survived by his devoted wife Nora (nee Ahern) of 26 years, whom he married in Evergreen Park, IL, on May 14, 1988 and his four children, Brittany(24), Jonathan(21), Nicholas(16) and Patrick(14). David is lovingly remembered by his parents Loren T. and Phyllis G. Allen of Cedar Falls, IA, brothers Richard (Ruth) Allen of New London, WI, Thomas (Blessie) Allen of Vallejo, CA, Kenneth (Carrie) of Milwaukee, WI. Dave is survived by many Allen and Ahern sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by many friends, co-workers and extended family. David was a retired employee of United Airlines, with a second career as a Registered Nurse, and served in the US Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserves. He was a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams. David was a caring, active father and cherished time with his family. He loved fishing, hiking, golfing, boating, traveling and loved the outdoors. A visitation for David will be held at Horan and McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122 on Sunday, April 5th from 4PM-7PM. There will be a visitation at Pax Christi Church, 5761 McArthur Ranch Road, Highlands Ranch, CO 80124 on Monday, April 6th from 9:30 AM- 10:15 AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM celebrated by Fr. James Barron. The burial for David Allen will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave. Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 at 1:00 PM. There will not be a funeral procession to the cemetery and directions will be available at the funeral home and the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the David W. Allen Scholarship Fund to assist in the education of his children. These donations would be greatly appreciated.
