David Warren Blandin (Dave), 81, of Littleton, Colorado, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2023.
Dave was born on June 24, 1941, to Joseph and Mildred Blandin in Denver, Colorado. After Dave graduated from Lakewood High School in 1960, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, in which he proudly served. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, in 1963. As a Colorado native, he loved camping with his wife and other family members and shooting all sorts of firearms with his grandsons. He could make anyone laugh with his silly sense of humor. He loved hats, motorcycles, old Westerns-especially John Wayne, and military memorabilia and war movies. He also enjoyed spending time with his family as much as possible and was a passionate Broncos and Rockies fan.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 59 years, his three daughters – Deborah, Laura and Cary, three grandsons – Joshua, Kelley and Jakob, two sons-in-law – Eric Paulson (Deborah) and Brian Conn (Cary), and his younger brother Dale. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph, mother Mildred, brother Dwight and sister Dona.
Services will be held at St. Philip Lutheran Church in Littleton, Colorado on January 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a small reception and then a military ceremony at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, an organization Dave felt strongly about.
