David Edward Christ

David E. Christ, 83, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado passed away January 15, 2009. Dave was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1925 to Irma (Lange) and Elmer Christ. Dave attended Loras Academy in Dubuque and graduated in 1943. Dave married Monica Beck on May 10, 1947 and they had their first of five children in 1948. Dave and Monica moved to Omaha, Nebraska in November of 1960, with his job as a salesman for Continental Coffee Company. After three years in Omaha Dave was offered a job as the district sales manager in Littleton, Colorado, and the couple and their five children moved there in October of 1963. Dave was an active member of his church, and a devoted Catholic. Dave enjoyed all sports, but particularly golf. Dave will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his fondness for animals, and his appreciation of big band music. Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Monica; children Gary (Patti), Greg (Marlene), Connie (Jim Ballard), Jeff (Julie), and Beth (Danny) Willcox; grandchildren Micki, Kelly, Danny, Katherine, Alexis, Danny, and Jessie; great-grandchildren Taylor, Riley, Logan, and Christian; brother Tom (Betty) Christ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass, Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2 PM, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado. Committal of Cremated Remains follows at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 S.
