David Grady, 62, Beloved Husband of Holly, passed away while mountain biking together on the Gold Camp Road heading to Victor, CO. David is predeceased in death by his parents Christopher Grady and Catherine Keimig, his step-father Lawrence Reifenrath, his brother-in-law Mark Severns, nephew Steven Alan Grady and great-nephew Eli Robert Grady. He was born in Newman Grove and a graduate of Bloomfield High School in Nebraska, Eaton Barber School in Little Rock, AR and College of Hair Design in Lincoln, NE. He practiced Barbering for 40 years. He barbered in Nebraska from 1975-1999 and for 17 years with his brother Steve as co-owners of Grady's Family Hairstyling in Omaha. After relocating to Denver in 1999 he joined and later purchased Colony Barbers and subsequently Leetsdale Barbers, receiving both national and regional recognition for his outstanding work there. David loved the outdoors, and besides mountain and road biking, his interests were cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, gardening, cooking, travel, reading and painting. David is survived by his siblings Linda and husband Jim Joachimsen, Nancy and husband Don Boswell, Steven and wife Debra Grady, Mary and husband John Hintz, Julie Severns, 14 Nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved and brought so much joy to others and will be missed by family, friends, neighbors, patrons and his beloved pets Gogo and Louie. In lieu of flowers we would like to honor David's love of mountain biking and being outdoors by having memorial contributions made in his name to Salida Mountain Trails, 944 E Rainbow Blvd. Box 149 Salida, CO 81201. The family would also like to help bring to fruition David's dream of helping future barbers come into the profession by making donations to the Emily Griffith Foundation, a barbering foundation that helps students in need with book and supplies to get them through Barbering School. Donations to the Emily Griffith Foundation are being collected by Holly Grady. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday July 18, 2pm at the Horan and McConaty Family Chapel 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO. Memorial Services will be held in Omaha in late December. Please share memories of David with the family by visiting the Guestbook link below.
