It is with great sadness that the family of David Michael Hall announces his death at the age of 47 in Englewood, Colorado. David was born August 10, 1971 in El Paso, Texas. As a child he lived in El Paso, Southern California, East Texas, and Roseburg, Oregon. He graduated from Roseburg High School and received his degree in Youth and Family Ministry from Abilene Christian University (Abilene, Texas). David cared deeply for the world and for those who suffer, and worked for several non-profit organizations in relief and development, homelessness, and addiction recovery. He lived in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Africa, and the San Francisco Bay area before making his home in Denver. He was also a photographer, and documented his world travels as well as the momentous occasions in the lives of friends and family. He was known for his passion for justice, his love of live music, and his incredible sense of humor. David was predeceased by his mother, Janet in 2013. He is survived by his father, Larry, his sister, Elizabeth Phillips, her husband, Jeff, their daughter, Flannery, and his beloved dog, Jesse.
David's funeral will be 11am on Friday, March 1 at St John's Episcopal Cathedral in Denver. Memorial donations may be made to one or more of the following: Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Dry Bones Denver, David's House Sober Community, and St John's Cathedral.
