David Hebert of Aurora, Colorado passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 due to health issues at the age of 66. Dave was born on February 15, 1951 to Leo (Paul) and Betty (Latendresse) Hebert. Dave lived and grew up in Alcester, SD. He attended school and graduated from Alcester High School in 1970. On May 15, 1971, he was united in marriage to Sherry (Hagen) at Lands Lutheran Church, rural Hudson, SD. To this union two Children, were born, Chad and Jason. In 1972 Dave and his wife moved to Arizona and lived there for 3 years. They both joined the US Army and were stationed at Ft Campbell, KY for a three year enlistment. After their honorable discharge they moved back to Alcester and Dave ran a gravel business until 1984. He then moved to Aurora, Co to pursue mechanical and trucking jobs until 2010. Dave had to take early retirement due to medical issues. In Daveâs early years he enjoyed camping and boating at Lewis and Clark Lake in Yankton, SD with his family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed working on his 1969 Camaro and going to car shows. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a brother (Curtis). Dave is survived by his wife Sherry of 46 years of marriage, two children, Chad (Donette) of Beresford, SD and Jason of Aurora, Co. Two granddaughters Mercedes and McKenzie, two brothers, Larry (Susie) of Bulverde, TX, Kevin (Linda) Sioux Falls, SD and one sister, Susan of Sioux Falls, SD, and many more family and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 1, at 2:00pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford, SD. In memory of Dave, if you have an old car please join us for a car show in front of the church at that time. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD @ 9:00am Monday, October 2, 2017
