David was born in Colorado City, Texas to Shirley and George Kiker on November 10, 1946. Growing up in his hometown of Amarillo, he graduated from Tascosa High School and went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. Following his passion for the law, he then earned his JD from The University of Texas in 1972. His time in Austin cemented his lifelong love for his beloved Longhorns. David was married to Pamela Seale, daughter of Jack & Polly Seale, on October 30th, 1971. They were lovingly married for nearly 46 years. As an appointed attorney of the United Transportation Union, David spent his career in law fighting on behalf of those who desperately needed his help after being injured while working on the railroad. Through his tireless efforts and impeccable reputation as a man of honesty, empathy and integrity, David joined as a partner at the Law Firm of Morrisard, Rossi, Cox, Kiker & Inderwish, where he practiced until his retirement in 2003. David is survived by his wife, Pam Kiker; his three natural children, John Kiker, Chris Kiker and Polly Gilligan and his embraced children, Ashley Sakker and Turner Lang; their spouses, Jennifer Kiker, Kate Kiker, Spencer Gilligan, Roy Sakker and Angela Lang; his 11 grandchildren, Jack, Julianne, Jeb, Hailey, Matt, Spencer, Tildsley, Sophia, Caleb, Cayden and Sydney; his mother, Dorothy Kiker; his sister, Kelly Beitler, her spouse, Keith and their family; his sister, Emily Kiker and family; the extended Seale family, including Rosemary and Marvin Harris and their family, David Seale and Stephanie Pastore, Kelly Seale, and countless extended family and friends. David is preceded in death by his father, George Kiker, his birth mother, Shirley Kiker, his grandmother, Alma Webb and his aunt, Jane Webb, his beloved grandparents-in-law, Al (Daddy Jim) and Rose Chesser, and his brother-in-law, Jim Pat Seale. David lived a life full of love, kindness, laughter and service. He loved his family, his friends, his three dogs Lucy, Lilly and Laverne, cooking, fishing, hunting, Texas Longhorn football, and a peaceful evening spent on his back patio. David was also a proud member of the Denver Lodge 5 and other Masonic organizations. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
