David James King - 16, born in Raleigh, NC on October 3rd, 1992, departed our world just before his 17th birthday, in Denver, Colorado on September 18th, 2009. He is survived by his mother Sheri J. Cole of Highlands Ranch, CO; father George E. King, Jr. of Cary, NC; extended family; many friends, and his cockapoo dog '"" Sammy. David grew up in Highlands Ranch and attended Highlands Ranch High School as a Junior. He loved playing electric guitar, was an amazing writer, a talented bowler, and an avid snowboarder. David's additional interests growing up include skiing, soccer, baseball, basketball, skateboarding, golf, and piano. He kept a sharks teeth collection '"" gathered from his trips to North Carolina beaches, one of his favorite places, and a coin collection from around the world, from his own and family travel's. Known for his infectious smile, great sense of humor, thoughtfulness, generosity, and his gentlemanly disposition, he will be missed as an awesome son, grandson, great-grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and great-nephew. Thank you David for being such a special joy, touching our lives and leaving footprints in our hearts '"" we love you '"" thumbs up! Memorial services in his honor were held Friday, September 25, 2009 at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
