David D. Klein

David Daryl Klein passed away in Aurora, CO on March 7, 2011. He was born May 12, 1972 in New Rockford, ND where he attended and graduated highschool. He graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics and Technology as a pilot and later completed training to become an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic. He received a Bachelor's degree from Hawthorne University. David worked as a pilot for various freight services and airlines, most recently as a Captain for Air Wisconsin Airlines. As a pilot, he was based in various cities, including Mesa, Fargo, Sioux Falls, Detroit, Chicago and Denver. His certifications included Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, Certified Flight Instructor, and Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic. He had approximately 10, 000 hours of flight time. David's interests included motorcycles, off-road driving, hunting, and water sports. He is survived by his parents Daryl and Ramona Klein of Oriska, ND; his brother Daniel of Denver, CO; and his sister Leeah (Roger) Howard of Mesa, AZ. Funeral services will be held March 10th, 2011 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Services in Aurora, CO. Burial will be in Valley City, ND.
