David Marquez

David Brian Marquez, loving father of 5 children, passed away January 14th, 2021.

David was born January 2, 1970, in Greeley, Colorado to Danial and Mary Marquez. He was a multiple sport athlete at Northglenn High School where he earned All-Conference honors for football at both the punter and defensive back positions, as well as All-Conference honors for Track and Field. He graduated from high school on June 4th, 1988. He then attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado where he also played football for the Mavericks. David committed himself to a career at Mile-Hi Sprinklers that would last over 23 years until his passing.

David’s passion for sports was second only to the love he had for his family and friends. His children took turns attending Denver Nuggets games with him, to which he had season tickets. David and his life-long friends made sure to meet once a month to see each other and stay caught up on each other’s lives. He loved being immersed into other worlds by collecting and watching movies and tv shows about anything and everything. He was known as a very sociable, kind, and funny man, who would do anything for those he loved. He was a loving son, dedicated father, and the best friend that anyone could hope for.

David is survived by his 3 daughters, Jerrah Marquez, Bailey Marquez and Morgan Mackie; his 2 sons, David and Taylor Marquez; his grandson, Owen Strother; his mother, Mary Bosaw and stepfather, Larry Bosaw; and his ex-wife, Kristie Marquez.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Monday, January 25, 2021, 10:30am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00am, all at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn. Please note that current restrictions only allows for 80 guests to attend. A celebration of David's life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so.
