David Murray

David Graham Murray, born on February 3, 1972, at Crouse Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, New York, surrounded by his family, passed away into the arms of his Lord and his mother Susan on September 13, 2022, in Golden, Colorado.

David graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, NY, served as an Acolyte at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Syracuse, NY, was an Eagle Scout, served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class and was employed by Home Advisor as an Account Specialist.

David is survived by his wife of 21 years, Shelly Murray, his Father John Michael Murray, Stepmother Rosemarie Murray, Brother Mark Scott Murray, Uncle Christopher Stevens (Harumi), Mother-in-law Shirley Purcell, Sister-in-law, Sheila Purcell, Niece Ayrin and Zane Buhman and their kids Kynnlee, Rhett, and Larmie (Great Nieces and nephew), Nephew Austyn Purcell and his wife Abby. Niece Amberlyn and her husband Greg and Bryson (David’s Great Nephew) and Autymn Purcell.

David was predeceased by his mother Susan Janet Stevens Murray, his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, and his namesake Uncle David Foley.

An ardent lover of Pugs, David had three precious pugs that he loved dearly, Jayce Kendall (brindle pug), Royce Gracielynn (apricot pug) and Tayson Wesley (black pug). David and Shelly had seven pugs during their relationship.

David traveled the world and the United States and enjoyed every moment of his life. He had an infectious love of life and loved his family, friends, and animals.

David and Shelly’s 21st wedding anniversary would have been on September 22nd, 2022.

David will be buried at the Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado, with full military honors at a later date, with a Celebration of his life will follow.
