David Michael Nead died March 18, 2019. He was born to Harold and Theodora Nead Throm on July 3, 1948.
David was a true renaissance man, having been a sailor in the US Navy, a jockey, a National Park Service Ranger, and a deputy in the Denver Sheriff's office for twenty-seven years, while concurrently serving in the Weld County Posse, and training the Colorado National Rangers. He was a brave sportsman, spending most of his spare time hunting, fishing, hiking or bear wrangling.
David is preceded in death by his father, Harold, his brother, Michael, and his nephew, Kevin. He is survived by his mother, Teddie, his sister and brother in law Clair and Eric Valin, his brother and sister in law Larry and Suzy Nead, his brother Steven, and his close friends, the Timmons family, Michael Tucker, and Thomas Valenta.
He had a servant's heart, especially when it came to those who serve on the Thin Blue Line. He loved the celebrated pipers, The Black Watch, never missing an opportunity to see them perform.
