David R. Onstott

David, 67, of Arvada, Colorado passed away peacefully in his sleep. Dave started at St. Anthony's Hospital in 1966 as a transporter for the Physical Therapy Department. Soon, he moved into the Facilities Department and eventually ran the Paint Shop for several decades. As a long term employee at St. Anthony's, Dave knew everyone and everyone knew Dave. There wasn't a wall or picture at St. Anthony Central he hadn't touched over the years, including the move to our new facility. Dave had a warm, glowing smile on his face that he shared with everyone he met. He had many hobbies and interests outside of work: art, both painting and drawing, collecting art, radio/DJ'ing, magic, photography, music, and playing the drums. At work he was a steady and loyal employee who took time to listen and talk to others. He was involved for many years with the Employee Recognition Committee, hiring and coordinating entertainment for events, Dave supervised our partnership with The Foothills Art Gallery, he was also the facilities liaison for the Foundations Employee Campaign for many years. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Onstott. He is survived by his loving wife Christine Marie (Keller) Onstott, another long term St. Anthony employee whom he called every day to tell her he loved her. He is also survived by brothers, Steve (Susie), Mark (Kim) and Rick (Jeannie); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a TRULY kind and generous man and will be very missed. Funeral Mass honoring Dave will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, beginning at 11 AM, Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 West 80th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado 80003, with a reception immediately following. Entombment follows at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
