David Paschal

Born to Carmon and Hartiett Moore Paschal on September 15, 1938 in Marion, Indiana, David Allen Paschal began his earthly journey.  On January 13, 2023, he shed his earthly bonds and left the planet quietly at the age of 84.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Summerwood.  Loving step-father to Victoria Rose Parker, and grandfather to Stephen Parker Bartony and Jessica Lyn Bartony.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Lou Paschal. Loving father to his daughter, Linda Christy Paschal and grandfather to Matthew Peter Sanchez, Hannah Elizabeth Sanchez Barnum, and Gillian Brianna Sanchez.

Preceded in death by his second wife, Anita Sanders Paschal. Loving father to his adopted daughter Joanne Paschal Taylor, and grandfather to Daniel James Taylor and Bryce Peters.

Loving brother to Catherine Joanne Paschal Monserrat, brother-in-law Bernardo Monserrat, niece Debbie Maddox and nephew Glenn Monserrat.

Grateful for his very good friends, Bruce and Randi Sanders;  Doug and Linda Cohn.

A graduate of the University of New Mexico, most of Dave’s career was spent as an engineer, primarily in the aerospace field.

His many interests and hobbies included drawing cartoons to several forms of auto racing, from building large-scale model airplanes to riding motorcycles.

Dave faced the challenges of each day with only an occasional reluctance, but never with the thought of giving in and as a result mastered life’s challenges with pride and accomplishment.

Dave never met a story he didn’t like! His amazing and amusing stories were told with delightful wit and charm.

Dave lived a full, vigorous life.

An Episcopal Internment Service will be held at Calvary Church, 1320 Arapahoe Street, Golden, Colorado this year on a date to be determined, officiated by Pastor Tim Phenna.
