David John Savage

David John Savage passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at the age of 75 with his loving wife, Lorrie, and their family by his side. 

Dave was born in Denver, CO, November 26, 1948 to Donald and Kathleen Savage. 

Dave met his bride-to-be while attending George Washington High School, where they both graduated in 1966. The two married in 1972 and grew a family together, raising three children, Daniel, Jeremy, and Jessica. 

Dave used to say he loved anything that burned gas and depreciated. This showed through his love for aviation with trips to the Oshkosh air show, his passion for snowmobiling with his family, car shows, and his pursuit of excellence in motorsports that culminated with his induction to the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2023. 

Dave also treasured his 45 year career at King Soopers where he started as a clerk and worked his way to Vice President, making lifelong friendships, and refusing to leave the State of Colorado, which he loved so much. 

With all of his accomplishments, there was nothing he valued more than God and his wife and family, which he showed never ending love and support for to the very end. 

Dave is survived by his wife Lorraine, son Daniel(Jaime)Savage, son Jeremy, daughter Jessica(Mike)Gallegos, and his three grandchildren, Kendall, Shelby, and Caleb; brother Dan, and sister Patty. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald. Dave will be especially remembered for his generosity, and sacrificial life, as well as his quick wit and sense of humor. 

Services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Rd, Parker, CO 80134. Donations in Dave’s memory may be made to Lutheran High School Tuition Assistance Program, 11249 Newlin Gulch, Parker, Co. 80134, or online by completing this form.
