David D. Vaughan

October 13, 1940 — May 23, 2020

David was born on October 13, 1940 in Deadwood, South Dakota, where he spent his youth. He went on to serve in the Army as a paratrooper, where he bravely jumped from airplanes as often as he could. As a young man, he traveled from coast to coast on many amazing adventures including 24 trips as a river pilot through the Grand Canyon. In the 60's, he got married and settled down, working as a computer programmer at the University of Colorado in Boulder and serving as timer for CU football games. In the 70's, came his two most adoring fans who have been fortunate to call him Dad. He spent the next two decades turning those two kids into adults - this was his true calling and we are forever grateful.

David is survived by and will be fondly remembered by his two daughters, his brother, two sisters, and his aunt, as well as his grand kids, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers or contributions, please share a fond memory of David.
