David Paul Wesbrook

February 14, 1951 — March 24, 2008

David Wesbrook, a resident of Highlands Ranch, passed away suddenly over the Easter weekend. He was born in Albuquerque, NM, in 1951, the youngest child of Jack & Marie Wesbrook. His boyhood was spent in Albuquerque. He attended St. Joseph's Military Academy in Hays, KS, graduating in 1969. As a student in Biology at the University of New Mexico, David was invited to become involved in open-heart surgery as a cardio-pulmonary perfusionist. He not only obtained his degree, he became certified as one of the first perfusionists in the country. David married Debra Douville in 1975, and they had 2 children, Jennifer and Christopher. The family moved to Denver in 1989, where Dave was employed by Psicor, assisting in many open-heart operations over the years. Dave retired from active practice in 2006. He maintained his hobbies of motorcycle-riding with his many friends, fly fishing, stamp-collecting and woodworking. He was an active member of the Colorado Woodworkers Guild. David is survived by his children, his first wife, Debra, his fiancee, Lynn, his brother, Joe, of Albuquerque, his sister, Ann, of Killeen, TX, and numerous cousins around the country. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 7pm with a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 10:30am, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just to the west of Holly), in Centennial, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's name to the charity of your choice.
