Dean F. Johnson

Dean F. Johnson, 82, of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away April 15, 2017. He was born June 28, 1934 in Clay Center, Kansas to Edwin and Mildred (Limbach) Johnson. Dean graduated in 1952 from Hayden High School in Topeka, Kansas and then married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine (Heise) Johnson. Dean honorably served in the US Army for two years as a Military Policeman in San Antonio, Texas. He was employed at the Denver Post as a pressman for 32 years where he was fondly known by his nickname, ""Strawberry"". He was also a member of the Northglenn Elks. Dean enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the mountains. He also enjoyed playing Texas Hold-em. Dean is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine M. Johnson; children, Carol, Dale, David and Cathy; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Mildred. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 10:30am, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233. Burial, with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 1:15pm, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO. Gather at staging area 'C' at 1:00pm.
