Dean Henry Moberg passed away on April 24, 2018 at Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville, Colorado. He was born in Sutton, Nebraska to Henry and Mildred Moberg on September 9, 1931. His family, including his younger brother Dale, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah during the Depression and then to Lakewood, Colorado in 1949, where his sister, Mary, was born. After graduating from Lakewood High School, Dean joined the United States Coast Guard. He attended electronics school during his Coast Guard training and decided to make electronics his life's career. While attending the University of Colorado part-time, he worked at the United Airlines Flight Training Center and became fascinated with flight simulators. He graduated from the university with dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Production Management. Dean continued to work for United Airlines for 30 years. In 1993, he married Jean Horst, also a United employee. As employees who could fly for free on United, they were able to travel extensively around the United States as well as Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. Dean's fondest memories in his life were traveling with Jean, who passed away in 1999.
Dean is survived by his brother Dale and wife, Judy; his sister Mary McArthur; his nephews, Greg, Jeff, and Doug Moberg; his nieces, Gail Smith and Verity McArthur; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 11 AM at Horan & McConaty Family chapel, 7757 West 80th Avenue in Arvada.
