Deborah Oehler

January 6, 1951 — April 2, 2022

Our dear sister, Deborah Kathryn Oehler, passed away on April 2, 2022 at the age of 71, in Lakewood Colorado. She is survived by four siblings, Gregory P. Oehler (spouse Andrea Fenton), James R. Oehler (spouse Janet Oehler), Judith M. Golla (spouse David Golla), and P. Kevin Oehler (life partner Rebecca Landau).

Debbie graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood Colorado. One of the most beautiful women to ever walk the planet, Debbie was an avid dog lover, and an athlete in her younger years, often working out with Cleo Parker Robinson dance group in Denver. An enthusiastic volleyball player, she frequently led activities for family outings. She joined Gilmore Hill in his geology business during the early 1980s, charting maps and organizing the office. As a decorating and color consultant, she partnered in a faux painting business briefly, and worked at Guiry’s in Denver. “Gil” Hill became her lifelong friend and companion. Their inspired friendship lasted over forty years, and their devotion to one another persisted to the end of her life. The Oehler family will forever be grateful to Gil for his companionship and the tender care he showed Debbie, particularly during difficult later years.

The indomitable and cheerful spirit of Debbie persisted through chronic pain, multiple surgeries and several medical crises. Despite these debilitations, Debbie always enjoyed the opportunity to share a laugh. Our family knows Debbie has finally found a lasting and pain-free peace that often eluded her in life.
