Deborah Anne Samuels

Deborah Anne Samuels, a beloved retired teacher, nurse and cherished friend, passed away on September 19, 2024, following a long illness and now rests with our Lord.

Debbie was born on October 21, 1968, to Carolyn (Brown) & James Samuels in Hinsdale, Illinois. Growing up in Littleton, Colorado, Debbie was middle daughter between sisters Julie and Kim.

A lifelong learner, Debbie graduated from CSU with a BA in Political Science/History and continued her education at the University of Denver where she earned a MA in Curriculum and Instruction in the Teacher Education Program. Debbie also earned her MS in Educational Counseling with the University of Phoenix and then earned a BS in Nursing with the accelerated Program at Regis University. She taught in various school districts in Colorado for many years where she was loved by her co-workers and students alike, making a positive impact on so many. 

Most recently, Debbie resided in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where she was known for her warm heart and infectious laughter. She spent her life enriching the lives of those around her and found joy in simple pleasures, like playing Mahjong with her dear lady friends and spending time with her adored dogs, Sadie and Hannah. Her love of travel led her around the world and to many countries where she enjoyed art and exploring different cultures.

Preceded in death by her loving mother, Carolyn Samuels, and sister, Julie Samuels, Debbie is survived by her sister Kimberly Samuels (Highlands Ranch, CO); cousins Susan Frank (Middleton, WI), Diana Johnson (Geneseo, IL), Margaret Frank (Katy, TX) and many loving friends.

Debbie was known for her generosity and kind spirit, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her laughter would often fill the room, a testament to her love of life. Among her favorite pastimes was dining at Maggiano's, where she shared countless meals and memories with loved ones.

Debbie will forever be remembered for her compassion, warmth, and unwavering kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.

Service for Debbie Samuels will be held on October 28th 1:00pm
