Debra Jo Couch, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, co-worker & friend, died on August 4, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Debra was born on August 11, 1954 in Brainerd, MN. Following high school in Colorado Springs, CO, she graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, 1978, with a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. Debra met her husband Galen, in high school and they makde their home and raised their family in Aurora, Colorado. Debra and Galen were married for 29 years and raised two wonderful children. Debra was employed by Aurora Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher/Facilitator. Debra's greatest joy was taking care of her family and cooking for them and all their friends. Debra is survived by her husband, Galen, her two children; Michael and Andrea, both of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by her mother, Phyllis Quesenbery of Colorado Springs, CO, and two brothers & sisters-in-laws; Jon & Karen Quesenberry of Colorado Springs, CO, and Daniel & Carol Quesenberry of Highlands Ranch, CO, and two sisters & brothers-in-law, Kim & Greg Dirker of Eagle, CO, and Tamara & M.J. Gertsch of Cheyenne, WY. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 9th at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., at S. Parker Rd., Aurora, CO. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital or Denver Hospice.
