Delfina Frances Armijo, 82, peacefully passed away February 3, 2010. Born on June 30, 1927 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Delfina was a beautiful and loving wife and mother. Survived by her husband, Adolfo; children, Sylvia Scartozzi, Olivia Killough, Geraldine Stettler, Waldo Armijo and Eileen Bruce; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; and two sisters, Eralia Chavez of Albuquerque and Eloida Garcia of Santa Fe; as well as many nephews and nieces. Delfina married the love of her life, Adolfo, in 1946 and they shared a life of incredible love, commitment, faith, caring and support. A devout Catholic and Christian, she was one of God's best soldiers on earth. She was a homemaker whose passion was caring for her family. She loved God, her many friends, music, dancing and animals. Her soft heart was felt everyday by those who knew her. Every day she prayed the rosary for all those in need as well as her loved ones. Services will be held at 5:30pm, Thursday, February 11th at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado. A reception will follow immediately after the service. A second service will be held at 9:30am, Saturday, February 13th at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A reception will follow immediately after the service. Memorial donations can be made to the Carmelite Nuns of Santa Fe or The Denver Hospice.
