Delila Ellen Duckworth Gordon Dee Gordon, 70, of Centennial, died February 23, 2010, at Porter Hospice at the Johnson Christian Living Center in Centennial.Delila was born in Evona, Missouri on May 25, 1939 to William Carl and Elta (Clark) Duckworth. Delila graduated from North West Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in Business Education and a minor in Home Economics. After graduation she taught business education at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado. Additionally she taught accounting, short hand and keyboarding at Barnes Business College and Aurora Community College during her teaching career. After college she met and married Norman ""Jack"" Carroll Gordon. During their marriage they had two children, Troy and Candi both living in Colorado. Jack and Dee started their own car hauling business, Automobile Transport Specialists Incorporated in 1980. Dee was Chairman of the Board at their company for 29 years. In May of 2009 they sold the company and began retirement. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Jack, a daughter Candice, a son Troy and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Kaylie (20), Levi (18), Mackenzie (16) and Mitchell (13), Brody (13), Lucy (10) and Brooke (8). She has one surviving sister Carlene Joyce (Duckworth) Rainey. She is also survived by many friends and family that enjoyed her spirited presence and loving heart. She was preceded in death by her older sister Maysel Joy (Duckworth) Baker. Services will be held on Sunday February 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home located at 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80014. Phone number 303-745-4418.
