Delisle Struempler

A beloved Mom, wife, and grandmother died March 3, 2022 at 96 years old.

Dee was born in Abie, Nebraska on October 23, 1925, to George and May Spatz.

Dee graduated from National Business Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska in the spring of

1944.  She worked for various employers in the business world, including time at Union

Pacific Railroad, and Mutual of Omaha, before she got married.

Our Mom married our dad, Harold, in January 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Our Dad was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, so Dee started life with him in Lincoln,

Nebraska, then to Hahn Air Base in Germany, then to Waco, Texas and finally settling in

Aurora, Colorado in the mid-sixties.

Dee was a great cook!  Keeping her house in top shape was a priority for her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George Spatz, her

sister, Margery Haupt and a niece, Karen Schmidt.

Surviving are her two sons, Steve, and Dave; two grandsons, Paul, and Dawson.

The nieces and nephews, Marsha Yentes, Barbara Baum, Michael, and Barb Struempler,

Jan Streets, Marge Kouba, Doug, Curtis, and Roger Struempler.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, May 21st at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church,

11453 Wesley Ave., Aurora, CO  80014.
