Deloris ""Dee"" Brassington

Deloris ""Dee"" Brassington December 15, 1952 - June 11, 2015 Dee Brassington of Bailey, passed away June 11, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She worked for Mountain Bell as a yellow pages attendant for 2 years, then moved to being an operator for a few years. She continued as they changed to US West and moved up to repair and dispatch for several years. While in dispatch and repair Dee excelled in that and became a leader to teach others and organized seminars. Dee continued to challenge herself in her career and went to the central office as a frame attendant in Evergreen. After 35 years with the company she decided to retire. After her retirement she enjoyed being in the mountains gold prospecting with her husband Dick. They were able to do traveling around the west and was able to return to her home state of Kentucky. Dee became involved in many different clubs in Bailey developing multiple hobbies. She loved all those she fellowshipped with. She enjoyed taking pictures to make memories for her scrapbooks. Dee loved the outdoors, her family and friends and best friend ""Bud"" the border collie. Dee is survived by her husband Dick, mother Irene Maddix of Morrison, daughter Becky (Truitt) McCauley of Grand Junction and grandson Corey who is currently serving in the US Air Force. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association in remembrance of Dee. A memorial reception will be held in her honor on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Horan & McConaty Reception Center, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO, 80227.
