Deloris Jean Erickson

Deloris Jean Erickson entered into eternal life one day short of her 85th birthday on Thursday, December 24, 2015 after 3 years of a brave and challenging fight with cancer. Born December 25, 1930 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to parents Mildred and Harold Laidley. Deloris and Bud moved to Colorado in 1959 making Littleton their long time home. In September 2015, she transitioned into Cross Roads Assisted Living Community at which time Sun Crest Hospice cared for her during her final days. Deloris is survived by her husband of 65 years, Garreth A. ""Bud"" Erickson, son Craig A. (Sharon) Erickson, daughters, Patricia J. Erickson and Jan R. (Rodney) Combs, twin sister, Doris (Gene) Staley, brother, Richard (Belva, deceased) Laidley, sister, Sandra (Richard) Chambers and other loving relatives and friends. Deloris's life was fulfilled with her five grandchildren, Kirstin A. Erickson (deceased), Scott A. (Nichole) Foos, Eric E. (Stephanie) Combs, Michael R. (Casandra) Foos and Kathryn A. (Patrick) Shearer, along with seven great grandchildren, Lexi Foos, Sophia Foos, Kaine Combs, Bryson Foos, Tyce Combs, Jace Foos and Sloan Shearer. Deloris's urn will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9th 2016.
