Dennis Dowd

Born April 11, 1941 and passed away on May 9, 2022. Dennis bravely fought Parkinson’s for many years and has now joined his family and friends who left before him and his loved pets and pals. They will be having a grand reunion together. Dennis is survived by his brother Kenneth, Janette Dowd and family, his special Grand Junction family and countless family and friends in Colorado, across the country and the world, including Ireland and Australia.

Dennis was a student at St. Louis Grade School and Mullen High School in Denver where he excelled as a student and athlete. He attended Regis College earning his Business degree and continued in the business and financial world as a Stockbroker, Investor and Entrepreneur where he enjoyed traveling the world and creating new business.

Dennis loved his Irish heritage and was President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and was a founding Director of the Colorado United Irish Society.  He helped organize a family reunion in Tullamore Ireland in August of 2001 that included family from the US, Canada, Australia, England and Ireland.  It was the trip of a lifetime for him.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Association of the Rockies, or Animal Rescue of the Rockies in his name.  Arrangements are through Horan and McConaty, Centennial Colorado.
