Dennis Eldo Knudson

Dennis Eldo Knudson, age 78, passed away on December 6, 2015 after a prolonged course of post-op complications following a major surgery. His wife of 52 years, MaryBelle Knudson, survives along with their four children; Kerstene (Loomis), Kendra (Fleck), Kyle Knudson and Laura Belle (Sires). Dennis was a devoted and loving husband and father to his family; enjoying nine grandchildren with the latest arrival of Kade Patrick Knudson. He was an attentive grandfather to Dillon and Brody (Loomis), Alexis and Cameron (Fleck), Kade Knudson, and Annabelle, Adelyn, Ainsleigh and Aniston (Sires). A beloved son of June and Walt Knudson of Pingree, North Dakota, and brother to Duane, Dale, and Mark Knudson. Dennis Knudson served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. He honorably served as a first class airman, specializing in code communication and as a radio operator. Dennis Knudson and Mary Belle (Hettel) were married on November 30, 1963. They resided in many places together; but raised their family in Grand Junction, Colorado and settling most recently in Castle Rock, Colorado. Dennis was a man of integrity and was greatly dedicated to his family. In 1963, he began working for Control Data as a computer engineer and that remained his only employer until he retired. During his retirement years, he focused on leisure time at the family cabin in Arrowhead Ranch, near Gunnison, Colorado. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife, and admiring and collecting sports cars in his younger years. A special thanks to all of our family and friends who have supported us during this very difficult time; we will always carry special memories of Denny (husband and father) close in our hearts.
