Dennis Mantas of Arvada, Colorado was born in Chicago on November 28, 1940 and was raised in East Chicago, Indiana. He was called home to the Lord on April 23, 2009. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife and soulmate Maria; three beautiful children Jason (Michelle), Daniel, and Alexa; sisters Clara and Irene; loving nieces and nephews; and all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother Lila Sirigus Mantas and his father Gust Mantakounis. He had a generous heart and God filled spirit. There was never a person, charity or organization that crossed his path that he did not stop to help. Dennis was a man of integrity and faith and he truly believed the adage 'you must leave this world a better place'. The tributes that have been pouring in from those that knew Dennis are testimony to the numerous lives he touched through his example. He was an inspiration to many through his life of faith and dedication to all those he knew and loved. He demonstrated his love for God through the stewardship of his three churches.
